MALIKI ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY-Center for Competency Development for Management, Leadership and Religious Moderation (Pusbangkom MKMB) of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia has once again demonstrated its commitment to improving the quality of human resources (HR) apparatus. Through Distance Training (PJJ) based on hybrid learning (synchronous and asynchronous), as many as 200 ASN, both PNS and PPPK, took part in the competency development program which took place on 4–17 March 2026.

The Head of Pusbangkom MKMB, Musyaraffah Amin, emphasized that this training was designed to reach all ASN of the Ministry of Religion more effectively and efficiently. According to him, the PJJ method is a strategic solution to increase competence without interfering with the implementation of official duties.

"This PJJ presents five categories of training, namely technical administration of official documents, performance management, strengthening the competency of PBJP managers, madrasa management, and personal branding. This competency development is expected to be able to strengthen ASN collaboration in achieving organizational goals," he said.

He added that improving human resources is not just enriching insight, but also shaping professional attitudes and behavior. By continuing to hone competencies, organizations are expected to be able to increase productivity, encourage innovation and competitiveness, improve service quality, create a positive work culture, and increase operational efficiency.

Musyaraffah also expressed high appreciation to the committee, organizing team, facilitators and participants who showed extraordinary enthusiasm during the training. He specifically congratulated the participants of the First Class of 2026 who had passed the selection.

"I hope that this first batch of participants can become PJJ ambassadors, bring a spirit of change, and implement the results of the training in their respective work units, so that they can provide impactful services," he stressed.

Furthermore, he reminded that this training is not just to obtain a certificate. For PPPK, competency development for a minimum of 24 learning hours (JP) per year is an obligation that must be fulfilled. Therefore, commitment to continue learning and applying the results of training is the main key.

"We should be grateful for the opportunity to take part in this effective, efficient and accountable training. From now on, build a commitment to implement the results of PJJ so that it provides a broad service impact and has an impact on society," he concluded.

With the spirit of collaboration and continuous competency improvement, Pusbangkom MKMB is optimistic that this PJJ will be a strategic step in building ASN for the Ministry of Religion that is professional, adaptive and highly competitive in 2026.
