MALIKI ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY - Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University (Maliki) Malang collaborates with the Baitul Maal Foundation (YBM) BRILiaN. The signing of the memorandum of understanding took place on Thursday, March 5 2026 at the Campus 1 Rectorate Building. This collaboration is expected to strengthen synergy in the management of social, educational, research and community service programs.
YBM BRILiaN is an institution that manages funds, zakat, infaq and alms. Especially those from Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) employees and the general public. In her speech, the Chairperson of YBM BRILiaN Special Branch Office Malang, Mayang Diantami expressed her good hopes for this collaboration. "The hope is that it can bring goodness to both parties, as well as to the Muslim community as a whole," he said.
YBM itself has four focus areas. Consists of Bright Scholarship, economic empowerment, disaster management, and supporting da'wah. Moreover, YBM and BRI are generally very open to further collaboration. Covers financial management and other areas such as apprenticeships and workforce absorption.
On the same occasion, Deputy Dean 3 of the Faculty of Humanities, Dr. Galuh Nur Rohmah, M.Pd proposed the possibility of cooperation in several matters. "Does BRI itself provide career coaching for pre-employment preparation? Such as interview techniques, making proposals, and so on," said Deputy Dean 3.
In response to this question, the Chair of the YBM BRILiaN Special Branch Office expressed his willingness to provide a career coaching application by Dr. Galuh. "YBM BRI is willing to be a resource and assist with pre-employment training for students," explained Mayang.
At the end, the Vice Chancellor for General Administration, Planning and Finance, Dr. Zainal Habib, M. Hum hopes that the quota for scholarship recipients from YBM BRILian can continue to increase. "My hope is that the quota can continue to increase. Apart from academic achievements, perhaps there are also other achievements. Tahfidz and international achievements," concluded the Deputy Chancellor 2.
