MALIKI ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY – The Supreme Audit Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK RI) through the Audit Director VA (5A), Karyadi, S.E., M.M., carried out an entry meeting to examine the 2026 Indonesian Ministry of Religion Financial Report at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang on Thursday, March 5 2026. This activity took place in the Meeting Room on the 5th Floor of the Rectorate Building and was attended by university leaders and related units involved in financial management.

In his presentation, Karyadi explained that UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang is part of the reporting entity which is included in the scope of auditing the financial reports of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion. The audit process was carried out using a sampling method which will then be consolidated in the overall audit results report.

He added that this examination was part of the constitutional mandate of the BPK RI. According to him, auditing financial reports of ministries and institutions is mandatory, so it must be carried out as a form of accountability for state financial management.

"Mandatory means that this audit is an obligation that must be carried out by the BPK. Every financial report under the Ministry of Religion must be examined to ensure accountability and compliance with applicable regulations," he explained.

Furthermore, Karyadi said that the examination would be carried out by two large teams tasked with conducting document searches and verifying financial data. This step is taken to ensure that the financial management and reporting process runs transparently, in an orderly manner, and in accordance with established standards.

Meanwhile, the Chancellor of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Prof. Dr. Hj. Ilfi Nur Diana, M.Sc., in his welcoming speech expressed the university's full commitment to support the smooth implementation of the examination. He emphasized that all work units on campus were asked to pay serious attention to the audit process.

"We give full importance to this inspection process. All units are expected to work together well and ensure that no data is missed during the inspection process," he stressed.

According to him, audits carried out by the BPK RI are an important part of strengthening institutional governance, especially in the aspect of transparent and accountable financial management. Therefore, the university is committed to facilitating all the needs of the audit team during the audit process.

This entry meeting activity is the initial stage in a series of examinations of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion's financial reports for 2026. Through this activity, it is hoped that good synergy will be created between the Indonesian BPK and UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang in realizing professional, transparent and integrity state financial management.
